GURUVAYOOR ANAKOTTA
Guruvayur Anakotta is the biggest elephant sanctuary in the World .This is located in Kerala state India. Anakotta or Aanthavalam situated in Punnathur Kotta Kottapadi . 3 Kms away from north of Sree Krishna Temple Guruvayur . 32 kms away from the cultural capital of Kerala, Thrissur . Now 66 elephants in Aanakotta .All these elephants were offered by devotees of Lord Sri Krishna.This is managed by Guruvayur Devaswom . It is a 10-acre compound. The main attraction of this place is that in one place they get to see around 66 temple elephants. The elephants are maintained very professionally. In Punnathoor kotta we are able to see the elephants ranging from five years to seventy years.
